Tone practice

Cantonese has six tones which could be difficult to master. We provide an excercise to help you distinguish them.

Tone contrast table

In the table below, we use si as a syllable example to provide all combinations of the six tones. Listen to them and try to distinguish the contrast. Here are the example characters for these six syllables「詩si1 史si2 試si3 時si4 市si5 事si6」。
